Short and Long Term Effects

Inhalants can seem innocent, however, it can cause death.

 

Short term effects include:

- slurred speech.

- exhilaration.

- low breathing/heart rate.

- severe headaches/light-headedness.

- dizziness/fainting.

- nausea/vomiting.

- sneezing/coughing.

- bad breath.

- loss of appetite.

- nosebleeds.

- agressive behaviour/delusions.

Long term effects include:

- weight loss

- depression

- nervous system damage

- hearing loss

- memory problems

- unability to concentrate

- muscle spasms

- damage to the heart, liver, kidneys, lungs and brain

- disorientation

- coma/death.
